Who is responsible for the Third Goal?

We are.

We are part of the team whose task is to bring the world back to America.

What can I do?

Go out and tell your friends, your students, and your colleagues about your most memorable experiences in the Peace Corps.

Tell them about the world you lived in and tell them how others see us.

Let them know about the opportunities for service, learning, and growth in the Peace Corps.

How do I start?

Start by letting people know you served.

Print one of these pages and post it in your classroom, on the door to your office, on your bulletin board.

Then tell people about the Peace Corps.

Where are the downloads?

Download the pages here and print them

Ask me about the Peace Corps - Norman Rockwell

Ask me about the Peace Corps - Magritte Dove

Love the posters. I noticed that the pictures of PCVs are both of white males, though. I hesitate to use a picture that doesn't really represent me - or doesn't represent the broader experience of PCVs. There isn't much you can do about the Rockwell painting (which is wonderful), but how about a foto with a woman. If you need one, I have a few! Or, a foto of a woman of color would be even better. Showing the world that not all people from the United States are white men might help in ameliorating some of the ongoing issues of 9/11. Anyway, till there is another one, I'll probably use the Rockwell picture. Roscoe - Nicaragua/Ecuador 1973-76

Thanks for the new poster. Made me wonder if I was ever that young (definitely blonde, though). Anyway, I will use it. And unfortunately I can't provide any pictures from my stash because of water damage in my Mom's garage. A major source of grief to me. If any other female PCVs or RPCVs out there have a picture - send it in! Va pues, Roscoe, Nicragua 73-76

Is a video available for RPCV's presenting at schools on Peace Corps Day this March?
We need a short video showing Kennedy's famous quote, "Ask not what your country can do for you. Ask what you can do for your country," and an overview of Peace Corps' mission, work opportunities, countries, and so on. CBS Sunday morning had a few minutes' synopsis in the fall.

"ASK ME ABOUT THE PEACE CORPS" IS A GREAT IDEA. MY KIDS WILL TELL YOU THAT YOU DON'T NEED TO ASK... AT THE SITE OF A BUG OR A COCONUT DAD WILL BEGIN TO TELL STORIES FROM THE VILLAGE....
WE HAVE BEEN THE EMISSARIES OF A PROUD NATION.A NAION WILLING TO SEND
ANY OF HER CITIZENS TO HELP AND TO LEARN IN THE REMOTEST PARTS OF THE WORLD.
WHAT WE LEARNED IN THE VILLAGE CAN HELP ALL AMERICANS UNDERSTAND THE WORLD BETTER.
LETS GET SOME BUMPER STICKERS AND PICTURES WHERE YOU CANNOT TELL WHICH ONE IS THE RPCV!!

I've long been looking for bumper stickers, the ONE I was given back in 1988 (The toughest job...) is long gone on a car that probably doesn't run anymore.
Now I have a more reliable car, where are the bumper stickers?
If none are available, I might see about having some made, if others want to buy them at cost?
