Hi,

Imagine my surprise when I heard a story about me and my Santa Fe store, Pachamama, was posted in your November 30, 2004 edition. Thank you! Although my new novel, Clearing Customs, was mentioned in the article, I'd like to know if you can make special mention of it somewhere in your pages. The novel recounts an ex-Peace Corps volunteer's tussles with the US Customs Service, who are accusing her of being a smuggler. See the Durango Herald 1-15-05 for a review, or look at www.papalotepress.com for a synopsis, reviews, sample chapter and interview.

The 382-page book, alternately hilarious and sinister, is slated for national release April 1, 2005 by Papalote Press, Santa Fe.

Thanks very much, and I'll pass on the good word about your terrific site.

Sincerely,

Martha Egan, CD/Coops III, Venezuela 1967-69
