I am a Mali PCV hoping to visit the N-K park sometimes late july-early august. In some guides it was mentioned that the park is closed during the rainy season (when I will be there), in other there was no mention of an official closing.

Can you please confirm if I can visit the parc and if so, please add any suggestion. My main goas would be to see some large animals, possibly lions, zebras, etc. without spending too much (do I have to hire a 4x4?).

Finally, in March I met in Foundigne, a PCV working in Dar-el-Salaam but I forgot her name. Is she still there and how can I contact her if I get there?

You can also write me at

Thanks a lot
