I don't see that the statement of your
dilemma is a strike against you. It's been
20 years since I was interviewed by Peace Corps but I would think the placement policy at that
time still stands. It makes good sense to put a
Peace Corps Volunteer into his preferred location so that Peace Corps time and expense is not wasted and the Volunteer feels he can be best at
his special service. I wanted only to go to Africa - not to the location they first gave - and they took note of that, sending me to Africa
which was and still is my preferred dream. You may have to wait for your preference which I see as your dilemma. Peace Corps pays your expenses.
