I am currently going through the medical clearance portion of the application and have a couple of questions. In the past I suffered from have mild depression and at one point almost 3 years ago I was briefly hospitalized for one night. Since then I have transitioned off of medication and am perfectly healthy. I have since also studied abroad in Sub-Saharan Africa and done some rural homestay time (I think this should show that I am ready to live abroad in new surroundings). I know that I am totally prepared for Peace Corps will absolutely be able to survive isolation, etc. Like I said I am now fine and have been off meds for a year. I think my former psychiatrist will vouch for me. Anyways, I was wondering what you guys (from your experience) thought chances were of getting medically cleared. Thanks! |
