Dear Friends of Peru .

There are two big developments I am very pleased to announce. First, we have decided on a name for our organization and will proceed to register it. Our new name is "Alianza de Amistad." We will continue to use our URL for our website . http://www.FriendsofPeru.org <http://www.friendsofperu.org/>

Also, President Alejandro Toledo has accepted our invitation to be Honorary Chairman of our organization and to work closely with us to implement our mission. He reviewed our Programmatic Focus and expressed his gratitude to everyone who was involved in its development. I am attaching a copy for your review.

In closing, I would like to thank everyone who has been supportive. The startup of a new entrepreneurial organization is a creative and exciting time.. Particularly when it is a non-profit organization working toward a mission that we all hold so dearly .... helping Peru.

I look forward to working with you, and hope that you all will stay in touch with me personally. Alejandro asked "When will you all come to Peru?" I know he wants to express his appreciation to all of us personally. So now . it's time to get to work.

My best to all of you.

Becky Ronstadt
