WAKE GRADUATE TO SPEAK ABOUT PEACE CORPS TIME

Wake Forest University graduate Jessica Jackson will speak at her alma mater Nov. 27 about her work as a Peace Corps volunteer in Uzbekistan.
Jackson joined the Peace Corps after graduating from Wake in May 2000. While in the former Soviet republic, Jackson taught English, started a library to help residents have access to English-language books and coached a baseball team.
The Peace Corps evacuated Jackson and other workers in the Middle East after the Sept. 11 attacks.
Jackson's speech is part of the university's Year of Unity and Hope: Pro Humanitate at Work series. It will be held at 7:30 p.m. in Benson University Center's Pugh Auditorium.
