To all RPCV's from Mali:

I run a nonprofit called XAccess that distributes low-cost load-carrying bicycles in the developing world, through NGO's. The web site is www.xaccess.org .

Through a family friend, I now know the director of the Peace Corps in Mali, and I wanted to hear from returned volunteers if they thought there was a need for dependable bicycles for the Peace Corps Volunteers.

If you could take a minute, please describe your transportation situation in your village. Did you use a bicycle? Did you need to carry anything, besides yourself? How did you move heavy and awkward loads such as water, produce, grain, tools, step-ladders, and crates?

I look forward to reading your responses. Please email them to paul@xaccess.org

Yours,

Paul Freedman
Acting Director, XAccess.
