Hi guys...Feliz Verano:) I actually intended on reading the message board... but what the heck, while I'm here....I'd like to tell you that I recently married. My husband(Dave) and I tied the knot this past May... We originally planned on eloping in Italy...then after having completed all the paper work, having witnesses at the consulate...much to our dismay, there were no free dates in Venice. We settled for a simple, civil ceremony, after our "plan B" to get married in a beautiful park overlooking the Navesink River was washed away by the rain. It was wonderful just the same. We honeymooned in Venice the following week.

I send my love and best wishes to all of my friends...from '96 ish to '98 ish. Wishing you all the professional fulfillment and personal happiness en el mundo. Fond thoughts of our time together are often with me....I'd love to hear from you!! karajean06@hotmail.com Nos vemos pronto.....

I'm a novelist (DROP-OFF, BIG FISH, DROWNED MAN'S KEY) looking for any former volunteers who served in Panama in the early to mid-'60s. I just need some background info and "color" for a new book in the Rodrigue series.

I realize this site is run on a volunteer basis, but cannot these scam messages be eliminated?

Postings on the "Peace Corps Online" selling things, asking for money, using scurrilous language, or having nothing to do with the Peace Corps are moved to the Off-Topic Bulletin Board. We don't catch them all but we do try to keep up with the most egregious offenses.

Best Regards,

Hi Wendy,

my name is Najimeh. I am a student in Hamburg/Germany (social anthropology).
I was for three months in Panama and spent most of the time in the Embera comunity, Parara Puru. Miguel Flaco told me a lot about you. The reason, why I am contacting you is: is it possible to give me more information about the work you did over there?

Who offered you the donation for doing the project?

How many people take part on the project?

I am going to visit the comunity again in february and I am interested to maybe continue your work or start an own one. Maybe you can give me tips, what project would be useful, helpful?

I appreciate your help,
hope to hear from you soon,
take care
bye bye,
Najimeh Abdolali

I am working with an entertainment and marketing company, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, that is looking for experts who would like to enjoy a greatly reduced fare ocean cruise in exchange for a series of short shipboard talks about Latin America and the Panama Canal. If this interests you, please e-mail me, and I'll provide more information.

Looking for the Peace Corps volunteer whom a few years back e-mailed (while on R&R in Pan City) me with a request for legal assistance for

a Ramiro and Libby Espinoza (+2 children?).

Going to Panama soon and need to find them, but don't have a current address (last known address:Ave. Nacional L.S. Province Los Santos) .

When I replied to you, I told you I'd help them if they'd fax me their info, but I never heard back from them. You said you'd have a priest who rode by horseback two hours deliver the response.

I arrive in country on Oct 30. Ramiro lived with our family in Michigan for a year via a 4-H ag study program.

Please respond to diane@the-wordsmiths.com or call me at 616-915-0200.
