Yes, I knew a Charles Devine. Hasn't everyone? I also knew a Jim, a Doug, a...well, lots of guys. And I often wonder just what in the blip happened to them. A lot has happened to me in these short years (taught all grades from 7th to graduate school, two boys, two grandgirls, the SAME wife (Diane Hamilton) who I met in India. What happened to the rest of you?

Last heard from Charles Levine years ago in NYC when he was working in the publishing industry. Was married to a lady from Bali and had kids, etc. His brother, Joel, was in my group I43 in AP. If Charlie is located, please ask him to contact Jim Newton at

My sister Uma Kapanipathy used to train Peace Corps Volunteers visiting Bangalore/Mysore in India during 1965-66. One of her close friend was one Ms. Charlotte (I do not have the full name). She used to visit our home in Bangalore often. Any news about her would be appreciated?
