I will be leading some discussion groups in June and July this summer, entitled AFGHANISTAN: PRE-HISTORY TO MODERN TIMES. The goal is to help people learn more about this wonderful and friendly country. Too many people only know about the Taliban and U.S. Special Forces.
I have slides and personal memories from my tour in Group III (1963-1965), but have not been back since then. I would appreciate the loan of slides (and associated memories) from anyone who has been there since 1980. If you don't want to part with your valuable slides, I would be glad to pay for copies. Please let me know what slides you have, so we can discuss getting copies.
I would also appreciate any opinions, feelings, or insights you might like to share about what is special about Afghanistan and its people. Thank you for your help.

Hi,
I may be able to help. i was a PCV for over three years in Africa, a recruiter in the L.A. office, and spent the first 15 months in post-Taliban Afghanistan with an aid agency. I just finished a photo website with a journal of my time there, so is pretty fresh. Please look at it at:
