Jennifer Boyd, U.S. Peace Corps Volunteer
Ms. Boyd has been assigned to Safehaven, a Ministry of H.E.R.O. Since 2000 and is now completing her second and final year of assignment. Ms. Boyd is the Co-coordinator of the Hands are Made for Loving project and project manager for several other domestic violence outreach seminars offered by HERO.
Ms. Boyd graduated from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina with a Bachelor?s Degree in Child Development and Family Relations focusing on Family and Community Services. Ms. Boyd completed her internship at a 24 hour Crisis Center in which she counselled individuals in a variety of problem areas. Upon completion of her degree, Ms. Boyd joined a volunteer service referred to as Americorps through which she worked at Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence. During which time, she was extensively trained in the area of domestic violence as well as outreach education.
