Erin Corrigan was born in Bend, Oregon and spent her high school years in San Diego, California. She earned her Bachelor's degree in International Economic Development at The George Washington University and has completed studies in Sevilla, Spain and Dublin, Ireland.
Before Erin joined NSCS, she managed political strategy and fund raising for diverse clients including The California Assembly Democratic Caucus, The Los Angeles Community College District, The World Affairs Council, The California Democratic Party, Dario Frommer for CA State Assembly and The Los Angeles Unified School District.

Erin has also served as a Community Builder Fellow for the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and as an Urban Community Development Volunteer for Peace Corps in Ecuador. As a Community Builder, Erin served as a community resource to elected officials, local leaders, public, private and non-profit groups in Los Angeles by taking the lead in resolving high priority controversial issues including community complaints and concerns.
The academic portion of the fellowship was at Harvard University. As a Peace Corps Volunteer, Erin assisted in the creation of social service programs for the city of Loja, Ecuador (120,000 inhabitants) that focused on community planning, health, personal development, job skills and literacy. These programs were geared toward women and youth in 48 urban neighborhoods. During her time as a Peace Corps Volunteer, Erin managed grant proposals for the Mayor’s Office of Social ervices resulting in over $300,000 in local investment, including a mobile health clinic and a National Pilot Program in neighborhood libraries.
