Mike Lowrie – Field Representative
Mike began working in the District Office in June 2003 after returning home from Norway. A seventh generation Californian, his family first moved to Sonoma County in the 1840’s. He graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with Bachelor degrees in Political Science and Russian Area Studies. After graduation he served in the Peace Corps as a Community Development Officer in Senegal. Later, he worked for the Peace Corps in Washington, D.C. and in Eastern Europe where he established the Peace Corps' first office in the former Soviet Union in Latvia. He has an MBA from the Norwegian School of Management in Oslo and speaks Norwegian as well as Russian and French. He spent the last four years working as a financial analyst at a hospital in Norway.
