Richard Saint Clair - Speaker Internet Industry Forum 2001

For the past seven years, I have been developing communications systems for the nation of Niue (169W 19S) in the South Pacific. Currently, I am the Internet Service Provider and technical manager for the Internet User's Society Niue and owner of Savage Island Technologies, a Niue based communications business.

I came to the Pacific region in 1994 in the first group of Peace Corps volunteers to Niue. During my years as a Peace Corps volunteer on Niue, I worked with the volunteers from the United Nations Development Program and the government of Niue to developed the Information Systems Organization for the management of the computer systems. After my Peace Corps terms expired, the government of Niue asked me to stay and develop the Internet services.

Originally from San Jose California, my background is mostly hardware oriented and was originally in the RF communications field before the Internet expansion came along.

Hi,
I am trying to find out the name of the volunteer worker who is of Filipino descent and was known by the name "Prime". He was a great help to my parents during their stay in Niue during the Christmas/New Year period. They are very concerned about his injuries that he sustained during the Cyclone Heta and they were all airlifted out of Niue and to New Zealand. The hospital in Auckland cannot give any information about this man as they do not have a surname.

I would greatly appreciate it if you would give me his name so that the hospital may be able to pass on my parents gratitude and best wishes to him.

Thank you in anticipation

Hi I am trying to find two Returned Peace Corps Volunteers who served on the Island of Niue , who go by the names of Jo Marcotte & Joslyn Haines. They weorked alongside my father on the island . I was only 4 years old when they left the island to return back to their homes & families. We are wanting to get in contact with them as they were very good friends of me & my family. Any information about these two volunteers would be very much appreciated.
