Pete Klebes Peace Corps Service in Palau
Where is Palau? Good question. Just fly West from California for about 20 hours and you'll find yourself just about on the other side of the globe just above the equator. On the map, Palau is on the left side, a bit SW of Yap and East of the Phillippines. Click on the picture below to check out a future volunteer's website about Palau and Micronesia - some pretty good maps and info.
Yep, the rock islands of Palau are even more beautiful in person
When I was serving in the Peace Corps in Palau - this was my host family. They are beautiful people, both physically and spiritually
This is one of my co-workers at the Palau Environmental Quality Protection Board where I was helping out in the education department. Emil and I are hanging out at the going away party they had for me. As you can see, I am so excited to be with all of my good friends that I wet my pants. Yippeeeeeeee......
I was lucky to meet a lot of different people. Here is a group of Japanese volunteers and myself out on a driving trip. Hello, Hide and Kyoko!!!!!!
