Welcome to our A-22/Peace Corps Paraguay Homepage!

On January 30, 1996, seventeen people from across the U.S. boarded a plane bound for Asuncion. Our group -- Aregua-22 -- began an adventure destined to change our lives forever. We served as health volunteers in Paraguay for the next two+ years, through April 1998. Our collective experiences are so vast that this web page only hopes to scratch the surface of a wealth of memories and information.

The "Before Training" Portrait

The "After Training" Picture

2 April 1996

Three months of training had surely affected us! Besides enduring heat exhaution and long hours of Guarani lessons, we learned how to drink terere and felt more comforable in Paraguay. This snapshot was taken the day that we received our volunteer site assignments.

Sorry! Our site is still under construction.

Still To Come:
* Complete links to pages about each volunteer & their sites.
* Lots more rare fotos of the rural face of Paraguay.
* Great anecdotes about our favorite South American vacations.
* Interesting links about Paraguay & its unique culture.
