I arrived in Panamá on May 5, 2003 and will be serving as a permaculture volunteer until my COS date of July 14, 2003. I am living in an indigenous Emberá/Chócoe village in the eastern side of Panamá towards the Darién Province. The land and her people are amazing. If any one has any questions about Panamá or any good stories from other posts I'd love to hear them. I'm trying to figure out how to make a webpage and this is the first step. So, if you have any insight into this process... gratis... please forward it along. Thanks, peace.

I arrived in Panamá on May 5, 2003 and will be serving as a Permaculture Volunteer until my Close of Service (COS) date of July 14, 2005. I live in Piriatí, Emberá, an indigenous Emberá/Chócoe Indian village near the Darien, in the province of Panamá Este. Currently I am working with the people of this small village to fulfill their obligation to the Mesoamerican Biological Corridor through a reforestation project and the implementation of sustainable agricultural techniques. It is an amazing place that is rich in people, culture and land...just not money. You can see photos at http://photos.yahoo.com/kerstenpanama and if you have any questions or comments, I'd love to hear them. peace, Kersten aka "Kali".

Kersten, are you still involved with permaculture projects in Panama. I am Associate Director of Earth Train Panama and a large part of our focus is on permaculture. Where are you working currently. Feel free to e-mail at jaime@earthtrain.org

Hi,
My name is Fringe and I'm looking for permaculture projects to get into, also reforestation and preservation in general. (Particularly in Panama!) What program are you involved in? Did you have to pay to do the work? Please let me know through email. I love your pictures!
