Has anyone traveled recently in guatemala? I was last there in '74. Am missing this country alot and wonder if it is safe enough to travel in. Consular and Embassy notes warn of alot of violence, rape, robbings, murders. Has anyone had recent travel experience in Guatemala. I am planning to travel to the region near Totonicapan, Chichicastango, Solola, and other nearby areas.
