I have a deep desire that Ghana stands to gain appreciably from ecotourism development. The strategic decision of the government on embarking on the community-based ecotourism project has hooked my fancy. The spreading out of the project would ensure that ecoturists have a taste of the diverse ecotourist resources in the country, i.e natural bequests, cultural types etc.I want to know if there are other people concerned about ecotourism development in Ghana, and probably interested in forming an NGO, which would be giving serminars on the rich cultural and tangible ectourist resources like our gigantic elephants, duiker, bufallo, civet cat,Royal antelopes, Diana Monkeys etc that Ghana possesses. I think the conciousness of our "beauty" would serve as an impetus for the populace to share with visitors and tourists to Ghana and its communities which would sustain this niche market and hence sustained economic and conservational benefit .Can tourism/ecoturism be made part of the school curriculum, what do you think?
