Peace Corps volunteers have accepted more Rotary funded toolkits on behalf of the Rotary Clubs of Port Vila and Luganville.
The tools on this occasion have been donated by Ann Davis from Redland Bay in Brisbane.
Ann and her daughter Lucy were on holiday in Vanuatu and met the Peace Corps staff when they visited Santo.
Ann heard about the need for tools for Rural Training Centres and arranged for a couple of boxes of tools to be dispatched in a container from Rotary Clubs in Brisbane, which also brought school desks and chairs for Eton School.
The tool kits will be used by the students to complete projects and to create more furniture for the RTCs.
They will also be used to create items that may be sold to help cover the operating costs of the schools.
Mr David Hudson, President of the Rotary Club of Port Vila thanked Ann and her daughter for the gift and said how valuable these will be in assisting Rural Training Centres to move towards self reliance
