South Africa RPCV John Stewart Branam weds Jamie Noel Koenig

Jamie Noel Koenig and John Stewart Branam of Portland were married Feb. 14 at St. Andrew Catholic Church in Portland. The Rev. Robert Krueger officiated.

Jamie is the daughter of Robert and Kay Koenig of Philomath and graduated from Philomath High School in 1995 She is an insurance analyst in Portland and attends Portland Community College.

John is the son of Stewart Branam of Corvallis and Myrna Branam of Eugene. A 1992 graduate of Corvallis High School, he graduated from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Va., with a bachelor's degree in Political Science. After graduation, he served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in South Africa for two years. He is in his final semester at the University of Oregon School of Law and serves as chairman of the Arbor Lodge Neighborhood Association in Portland.

Christi Koenig of Portland, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor, and Stacy Gerding of Philomath, sister of the bride, served as the matron of honor.

Martin Branam of Corvallis was the best man, and Michael Branam of Bremerton, Wash., was a groomsman. Ruby, the couple's pug dog, was the ring bearer.

The bride wore her mother's silk organza wedding gown, which was originally hand-decorated by the bride's paternal grandmother, Alma.

A Tuscan-themed reception was held at the Hotel Vintage Plaza in Portland. Guest traveled from New York, Washington D.C., California, Florida, and Washington state.
