Beginning Dec. 11, the Robert C. Williams American Museum of Papermaking—part of Georgia Tech’s Institute of Paper Science and Technology—will feature creations by Jena Sibille, who uses techniques from Papua New Guinea to create her work.

Sibille learned the tradition of tapa while serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in New Guinea. Her work focuses on the universal theme of women creating textiles, be they clothing, quilts, or the New Guinean tapa cloths.

A reception for the artist will be held 5-7PM Thursday, Dec. 11, at the Robert C. Williams American Museum of Papermaking,500 10th Street NW
Atlanta, GA.

Funding for this exhibit is provided in part by the Fulton County Commission under the guidance of the Fulton County Arts Council. This program is supported in part by the Georgia Council for the Arts through the appropriations of the Georgia General Assembly.
