I returned from Burkina Faso in September of 2003. At my close of service they did not find the parasite in my stomach. I had the parasite in my stomach for 2 and a half years. No doctor could or looked hard enough to find it. I was very ill for a long time. The parasite is called Blastocystis Hominis. The good thing is PC said they will pay all my bills. Some are still pending.
