Welcome to Kevin's Peace Corps Georgia Blog! This site will chronicle my time with the United States Peace Corps in Georgia. I will try to update it as often as possible with pictures, witty stories, and slices of life in the Caucasus for the next two years.

Packed & Ready
I'm completely packed and ready to go! (More or less...) I'm heading to bed now -- spring ahead. Next post from either Philadelphia or Georgia!

Fantastic Bon Voyage Dinner
We just returned from a wonderful "bon voyage" dinner with Greg and Andy at Cuchi Cuchi in Cambridge. Thanks guys! Sangria and tapas - my favorites. So, only one more day. My suitcase is sitting in the middle of the floor, awaiting its coming bounty. Tomorrow is going to be busy.
Thanks to everyone who has wished me well the last couple of days. I promise to keep in close touch -- especially after the first couple of weeks.

Not Enough Room
Peace Corps requirements for packing: 100 pounds total for bags, 50 pounds for each bag. I have a feeling that this won't happen. I've already cut down to the bare minimum. I know I have a tendency to travel with more clothing than the Duchess of Windsor, but I really was trying to go minimal. I'm taking a total of 15 shirts. I've been through that many in one day before.
This afternoon: trip to Target and a final push for packing then dinner with friends.
Weather report suggests it may snow on Sunday in Boston. Good time to leave, I imagine. I assume I'll be doing Palm Sunday at the Airport Chapel. That must be a delight.

Packing & Watching Ellen
Leaving for Peace Corps in Georgia in 3 days!! Started packing? No. What am I doing - watching Ellen. I'm lucky that, at least until 3 days ago, I had a job that required me to get out of bed in the morning. Left to my own devices my day would begin promptly at 11:30 and run until approximately 4:00. Anyway, this is all to say that I've not started to pack and probably will just show up in Philadelphia with a carry-on and a Nelgene bottle.
I have been warned that my posts must be tame. Of course, only this dude has actually mentioned it. But, with a picture like that, he has no room to talk.
Suggestions are welcome. Money is even more welcome.
