I would like to get in contact with all RPCVs who served in Kenya's Deaf Edu since it's inception in the late '80s. There are exciting things going on and I would like to share this with you.
Some of you I meet and some I did not get the opportunity to work with. Get in touch we will share more.

I served at the Ziwani School for the Deaf in Mombasa, from 1992 and 1993. There were a number of mix-ups, mis-communications, and mistakes made in our assigments. We were unable to implement the program as originally designed, and we were not allowed to work with the assessment centers as originally planned. Instead, we each had to create our own "program". At Ziwani, we opened up a woodworking shop, which had tools but had stood idle when I arrived, and began working with the children on learning woodworking skills and completing small crafts projects.
