Solomons supports international fight against terrorism
HONIARA, Solomon Islands (PFnet News) – Solomon Islands assures the United States of support on fight against terrorism.
SIBC news reports that the Solomon Islands Ambassador to the United Nations and the United States, Collin Beck has in letters to President George Bush assured the United States of the country's support in the international fight against terrorism.
Beck presented letters to President Bush of the United States of America in Washington last month.
Ambassador Beck stressed on the changing environment in the tactics used by terrorists and Solomon Islands had pledged its support in efforts to combat terrorism.
SIBC news states that Beck also briefed the president on the emerging security threats in the region.
SIBC news quotes President Bush in his response as appreciating the government and people's support and position in fighting terrorism.
Ambassador Beck since taking up the post has also met the United States Secretary of State Collin Powell and had held bilateral talks with White House Officials.
Beck also held discussions with executives of the Peace Corps Office in Washington.

i am a poor child scearching for someone who can sponsor me through a university education.really i have always dreamed to study petroleum engineering or chemical engineering in the united states of america.but since my parents are poor and cannot afford a university education in my country,nigeria,then how can they overseas? i am that type that can write books like novels and also i'm a diploma holder in computer engineering.WHAT I'M ASKING FOR IS SOMEONE TO SPONSOR ME THEN after i'm out of the university,then i will pay you back with half of the total amount spent as an interest.I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TOSCHOOL IN MY COUNTRY BOTH BECAUSE MY PARENTS RE POOR AND THE FACT THAT THE GOVERNMENT OF MY COUNTRY HAS MADE IT POSSIBLE FOR ONLY THE RICH AND THE WELL CONNECTED ONES TO SCHOOL.I REALLY WANT TO STUDY IN THE STATE BECAUSE THAT IS WHERE I DREAM TO STUDY.AFTER SECONDARY SCHOOL,I GOT AJOB SO THAT I COULD ASSIST MY PARENTS ,I WORKED AS A SALES BOY IN A SUPERMARKET WITH A SALARY OF N2000.I WORKED FOR THREE YEARS.FROM THE LITTLE I SAVED I GOT MYSELF INTO A SMALL INSTITUTION CALLED IMS.I STUDIED COMPUTER ENGINEERING.A DIPLOMA IN COMPUTER ENGINEERING CAN LEAD ME TO NOWHERE SO I STILL WANT TO STUDY HIGHER THAN THAT BUT I HAVE NO ONE TO SPONSOR ME.WHAT I'M ASKING FOR IS FOR YOU TO INVEST YOUR MONEY ON ME AND GET TO SEE THE RESULT.I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO OBTAIN SOME OF MY TRAVELLING DOCUMENTS FROM THE LITTLE REMAIN OF MY SALARY.I HAVE AN INTERNATIONAL PASSPORT AND A PLICE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE.PLEASE HELP ME OUT AND GOD WILL HELP YOU TOO.I HATE TO SEE MY PARENTS CRY EACH TIME THEY CAN'T AFFORD SOMETHING I ASK OFF THEM.MY PARENTS CAN EVEN AFFORD TO PUT FOOD ON THE TABLE THRICE A DAY.PLEASE HELP ME FULFILL MY DREAMS ,SO THAT I CAN MAKE THEM PROUD AND I WILL NEVER FORGET JUST AS GOD ALMIGHTY WILL NEVER FORGET YOU.I'M GODWIN ADEN JOHN.
