Dear Bill,

I am recently retired, and living in the North Georgia foothills. I have recently acquired some Red Claw crayfish which I intend to culture, and am interested in other possibilities, such as the freshwater prawn, and whether there exists a freshwater crab that has potential for aquaculture. I just bought a male and two female Red Claw freshwater crabs, but have been able to find no significant information on them as yet. I don't know if the 1 1/2 inch size is standard, and if selective breeding might increase the size, and of course I don't know where they are from and under what conditions they will reproduce, and so on. Any ideas you might have, or any directions in which you might point me would be appreciated.
