Dr. Deborah Bennett was a Peace Corps volunteer in Ghana
Dr. Deborah Jo Bennett received her Ph.D. in Mathematics Education from New York University, her M.S. in Operations Research from George Washington University, and her B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Alabama. Dr. Bennett is presently an Associate Professor of Mathematics at New Jersey City University. She was an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Farmingdale, as well as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Pace University in New York City. Dr. Bennett has been a statistical consultant for the New York City Department of Finance, a market research consultant for a private marketing firm, an operations research analyst for the U.S. General Accounting Office in Washington, DC, a Peace Corps volunteer in Ghana, West Africa, and a research professional for the Institute for Defense Analysis in Arlington, VA. Dr. Bennett co-authored Algebra for ALL published by McGraw-Hill Co. in 1997, and she has a book, Randomness, forthcoming in 1998 published by Harvard University Press. Dr. Bennett was named to Who's Who Among America's Teachers, 1996, and Who's Who in American Education, 1992-93. She is happily married to actor/composer Michael Hirsch.
