Governor Doyle Greets Graduates
Location: Eau Claire
May 22, 2004

Graduates get a farewell from Governor Jim Doyle Saturday. At UW Eau Claire, students celebrate commencement ceremonies. Finals are over, but more than 1,000 students cam back to school to receive their dipomas Saturday. Doyle took time to praise graduates for their hard work. In his commencement speech, Doyle urged young people to commit themselves to service whether it is through the military, peace corps or just service to organizations in their communities. "There are just a lot of ways people can contribute not just working but also service in the community, " says Doyle. "I really wanted to encourage them to get involved, we have a lot of people that could really use help from 22, 23, 24 year old graduates."
