HAMILTON, Bermuda — Carla Renita Ming of Warwick, Bermuda and Kelvin Lamar Reese of Greenwood, S.C., were married at 3 p.m. May 1 at Salvation Army, Hamilton Citadel. Major Rick Shirran of Hamilton officiated.

Wedding music was presented by Wayne Knight and Sia Spence, both of Bermuda.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Ming Jr. of Warwick. She is a graduate of Emory University and will graduate from St. George’s University School of Medicine in June.

The bridegroom is the son of Nancy W. Reese of Greenwood. He is a graduate of Emory University and is a returning Peace Corps volunteer. He is employed by Career Systems Development of New York.

Carol McDowall and Kendra Lightbourne, both of Bermuda, were matrons of honor.

Bridesmaids were Alnisha Simmons, Shaina Kelly and Cherie Richardson, all of Bermuda, Ericka Christian of Dallas, Texas, Wanda Reese Richardson of Charlotte, N.C., and Jerilynne Ming of Silver Springs, Md.

The bride wore a strapless, princess cut white dress featuring silver embroidery.

She wore an elbow length veil detailed with satin piping and silver accents.

She carried a bouquet of white and lilac roses.

John Ramseur of Smyrna, Ga., and Matthew Pinckney of Philadelphia, Pa., were best men.

Groomsmen were Devon Williams and Kevin Rountree of Greenville, S.C., Adrian Boyd of Winston-Salem, N.C., Dwayne Marshall of Atlanta, Cecil Brown of New York, N.Y., and Calvin Ming III of Bermuda.

Ushers were Sabrina Collins of Miami, Fla., and Latoya Williams of Atlanta.

The bride’s parents were hosts of a reception.

The couple will live in New York, N.Y.
