Staff in Panama from 1967 to 1969 in Chitré, Herrera. Deceased.

Biography: Ron was Peace Corps Associate Director from June 1968 to December 1970, based in the Azuero Peninsula. In November 1969, Ron married Vera Snyder, a Peace Corps volunteer. Following their Panama days, Vera and Ron continued on Peace Corps duties in Nicaragua and then returned to the U.S. in 1972. They settled on the family cattle ranch in Utah and adopted twin boys who are now 11 years old.

Ron continued his volunteer efforts in Utah with active involvement in soil, air and water conservation activities and also as a board member of the Cattle Grazing Association. On October 31, 1985, while enroute to a board meeting he was killed in a car accident.
