About the Author

Wendy Williamson is a Study Abroad Advisor at Western Michigan University and has helped thousands of students travel overseas. She holds a M.A. in Counselor Education: Administration of College Student Affairs and a B.A. in Communication and Culture. Wendy completed two assignments with the Peace Corps in South America and Africa from 1994 to 1998. She also married a Quiteño in Ecuador and is now raising a cross-cultural family in the United States.
