FARR STATEMENT ON THE DEATH OF PRESIDENT REAGAN
June 7, 2004 - Washington, D.C. – Congressman Sam Farr (CA-17) released the following statement in reaction to the death of former President Ronald Reagan:
“I was saddened to learn of Ronal Reagan’s passing and I extend my deepest condolences to his family. As a Californian I will always remember his actions as governor that put a stop to the building of a federal highway through the Sierra Nevada that would have harmed wilderness and interrupted the John Muir Trail. President Reagan was a natural-born leader whose service to this nation will never be forgotten.”
