I'm a second year seminarian from Buffalo, NY. I'm married and my wife is "minding" the house while I'm here at the seminary. We have one child, who at 24 is no longer a child, named Phillip. He's currently in a doctoral program at the University of Washington and not to upset Buckeye fans. He received his Master's from the University of Michigan. I am currently worshiping and participating in the life of Zion Lutheran Church in Obetz, Ohio until I'll be leaving for an internship. During that time I hope to assist Pastor Carl Ames in the duties at this church as I learn to be an effective pastor in a suburban parish.

Prior to going to the seminary I was a high school technology teacher in a suburban high school in Lancaster, NY for a period of ten years. Before that I'd worked in the aerospace industry as a contract administrator and program management. My wife and I were Peace Corps volunteers in the mid-1970's and were stationed in a small village near Taegu, South Korea. I am also a veteran having served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam era (1968-1971), where I had received my technical training in the area of electronics. My wife and I have been active in our home congregation of Trinity Lutheran Church of South Newstead, Akron, NY for the past twenty years. I have served as a congregational deacon, council member and officer, and a bible study leader.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you, the congregation of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, for your gracious scholarship which will permit me to continue my studies here at Trinity Lutheran Seminary.

Please sir,
I need a scholarship to foster my knowledge of the Scriptures, and to impact my tribe with the Gospel of Jesus-Christ. Here, people still believe in idols and "spirits of the ancestors".I have been working in Campus Crusade for Christ ministry since the year 2002;in Jesus Film team in "Yemba"(my mother tongue). I have receive a call from the Almighty to equip myself and bring my own peopleto Christ. Accordingly, granting me admission and scholarship will go a long way with the fulfillment of the Great Commission:"Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all nations"(Mat.28.19,...). Thanks!
