Zurich Adds Political Risk Underwriter in Washington

SCHAUMBURG, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 8, 2004--James T. Brache has joined the Zurich business unit providing insurance and risk management solutions in emerging markets as an underwriter. A leading provider of political risk and medium-term trade credit insurance, Zurich develops comprehensive coverage for global customers investing and trading in developing economies around the world.

Brache, who is located in Washington, D.C., is responsible for the development of political risk insurance solutions for multinational corporations, infrastructure developers, exporters and lenders. In addition, he will work in collaboration with multilateral organizations and public agencies to advance client goals in emerging markets.

Brache has served at the Overseas Private Investment Corporate as Regional Manager, Asia/Middle East and Investment Insurance Officer, Latin America. He has also worked at the Inter-American Development Bank and the U.S. Department of State. Brache, who holds an MBA from Boston University and a BA from Georgetown University, served in the U.S. Peace Corps in Ecuador.
