BAILEY, PATRICK B., 71, peacefully at home on June 28, 2004; loving husband of Lucy E. Bailey for 31 years; loving father of Rebecca D. Bailey and Thaddeus M. Bailey; son of Mary Q. Bailey and the late Bennie A. Bailey; son-in-law of Donald H. and Charlotte M. Eldredge; brother of Bennie Bailey of Springfield, IL; brother-in- law of Robert M. Eldredge, Elizabeth A. Eldredge and Barbara D. Eldredge; uncle of Michael E. Plank and James E. Plank; nephew of Rose Dunham and Dorothy Wooldridge; dear cousin and dear friend to many. Pat was born and raised in East St. Louis. He served in the U.S. Army for eight years, stationed in Virginia and France.

Pat joined the Peace Corps upon its inception and was stationed in Colombia, South America for two years. Pat was a boilermaker and member of Local 363 prior to employment at the Saint Louis Zoo. He retired in 2003 as the Facilities Special Projects Manager after thirty years of service to the Zoo.Private interment. A memorial celebration of Pat's life will be held later in the month of July. The family is being cared for by AMBRUSTER-DONNELLY Mortuary. Relatives, friends and acquaintances are encouraged to contact the Mortuary at (314)863-1300 for further information about the celebration. In lieu of flowers, tributes may be made to the Saint Louis Zoo, One Government Drive, St.
