Tunisia RPCV Rebekah Ann McBride dies at 58
Municipal judge was town's first

Craig - Rebekah Ann McBride, who was 58 when she died here July 12, was Craig's first municipal court judge.
Born in Texas, she applied for the Peace Corps as soon as she graduated from Rice University. She spent two years in Tunisia, then studied language and culture at the Sorbonne in Paris.
Later she graduated from the University of Texas School of Law in Austin. After practicing in Denver, she became the general counsel for Colowyo Coal Co. in Craig. She served as Craig's municipal court judge from 1984 to 1993 and helped found Craig's Independent Living Center.
Survivors include her father, Guy T. McBride Jr. of Lakewood; sister Ellen Alsobrooks of Wheat Ridge; and brother William H. McBride of Raleigh, N.C.
