Checchi and Company Consulting, Inc., an international development consulting firm specializing in legal and judicial reform, is recruiting candidates for a new Rule of Law Program in Afghanistan. The program objective is to rebuild the justice sector in order to make it functional, efficient, and responsive to the needs of the people of Afghanistan, and create a legal environment of respect for rule of law. Candidates for 1-3 year technical assistance assignments should have knowledge of Afghanistan, prior work experience in the region or similar development environments, and technical skills in one or more of the following areas:

Legal/legislative drafting
Legal education/training
Court administration
Civil society capacity building
Informal/non-traditional justice systems
Logistics management/contract administration
