Event to focus on reconciliation

Rep. Sam Farr, D-Carmel, will deliver opening remarks at what’s being billed as the first-ever Sulha held in the United States on Monday.

Sulhas are an indigenous, Middle Eastern way of reconciling differences between people. At Monday’s event, people will gather in small groups and share stories, thoughts and prayers.

The event will be 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Inner Light Ministries, 5630 Soquel Drive, Aptos. Farr’s remarks are expected at 10 a.m.
