Angela Gustafson and her husband, Brian, spent two years as Peace Corps volunteers in the Dominican Republic on the Haitian border, then returned to Minnesota in 1996. She says that experience prompted her to create books to broaden children's vision of the world. "Imagine a House," her first in a planned series, has won four national awards and was a 2004 Minnesota Book Awards finalist.
Gustafson, of south Minneapolis, points out that all the work on the book, including the printing, was done in Minnesota. Subtitled "A Journey to Fascinating Houses Around the World," it includes photos and descriptions of 22 homes in 15 countries, presented in a child-friendly but not condescending design.
Her company, Out of the Box, sells the book through bookstores and online at http://www. ootbooks.com.

| Schwarzenegger praises PC at Convention Governor Schwarzenegger praised the Peace Corps at the Republican National Convention: "We're the America that sends out Peace Corps volunteers to teach village children." Schwarzenegger has previously acknowledged his debt to his father-in-law, Peace Corps Founding Director Sargent Shriver, for teaching him "the joy of public service" and Arnold is encouraging volunteerism by creating California Service Corps and tapping his wife, Maria Shriver, to lead it.
