Minneapolis (WCCO) An Apple Valley woman in the Peace Corps was killed in a bus accident in Morocco Saturday.
Twenty-four-year-old Melissa Mosvick, was serving in the Peace Corps in a southern Moroccan town.
She was apparently riding a public bus when it was involved in an accident. There are no additional details at this time.
Mosvick, who began the Peace Corps in September 2003, taught English and computer skills at the Artisanal Training Center. This year she began working with an association for the handicapped and expanded her small business work, teaching artisans how to do glass painting.
Mosvick had graduated with a degree in International business and marketing from the University of St. Thomas and had already learned Arabic and was learning French.
Mosvick is survived by her parents, sister, grandmother and aunt. The family is setting up a memorial fund in honor of Melissa.
