November 20, 2004: Headlines: COS - Burundi: The Coloradoan: Kristen Levy (Burundi, 1992-94), said the Peace Corps helped her find a professional niche -- teaching elementary school.

She taught in an environmental education program in the central African nation until evacuated following a military coup.
Levy, 38, teaches special education at Bennett Elementary School. The school has an International Baccalaureate program that emphasizes the importance of diversity, which fits in with her Peace Corps experience.
"The more you know about the world, the more you understand yourself and the actions of others," she said.
