Work Description:
TEFLer at Lycee Mahmudi Tarzi in Darulamon (near Kabul Museum); also taught Business English in A-Dar-Ray Sunat near Prime Minister's office to secondary school graduates (men and women). After my first two years, I was requested to stay on and do a short project as a supply supervisor at the Afghan Supreme Court.

I only served with the PC in Afghanistan. Bob Bonnin was my regional director; Marty Kumorek taught us cross-cultural studies; Larry Beck and Rahim Yassir were the overall program directors; Ahmad Shah Tajwall was my Dari teacher; Lou Mitchell and John Guyers were the in-country PC directors while I was in Kabul.
Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:
After PC, worked in Iran and Saudi Arabia as an English teacher; later did hotel work and for the last 18 years or so I have worked at Santa Monica College as an Admissions and Records Evaluator.
Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:
My time in Afghanistan was the happiest time of my life. I have many wonderful memories.
