Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:
I returned to my job teaching Sociology at Johnson County Community
College. I taught English for one year (1988-89) in the People's Republic
of China, and I was a Fulbright Exchange teacher to England in the fall of
1997. I have participated in several Fulbright-Hays summer research
projects: Poland and the Czech Republic (1996) and Turkey (1999). And I
have spent much time in a number of developing (and developed)
countries in the years since returning from Peace Corps.
Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:
I've done a number of interesting and challenging things in my life, but I
would put my Peace Corps experience at the very top of my life's richest
and most challenging endeavors.
