Your inquiry about Steve North on the Peace Corps site caught my attention just now. I have not visited this site in over a year.

I was in Niger in the Maradi area from 1968 to 1971, and was part of the same Peace Corps group as Steve. I do remember visiting Tessaoua on a couple of occasions and meeting some French young men. I also remember Steve saying that you all sometimes played the game Monopoly. Do I have a strange memory? I may even have a photograph of you in a group when Steve and I, and a German student, Jeff Meyer, were at some place in Tessaoua having some beers ... with you possibly.
