Work Description:

One of the "paperos" with the Departamento de Agricultura. In Huarez I assisted with the earthquake relief effort and worked in ag.

Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:

In 1975 completed my BA at the Univ. of St. Thomas in Houston. I served as the Manager of Youth Services with the Wesley Community Center for 23 years and then moved to El Paso, Texas. I completed my MSW in 1995 at the Univ. of Houston GSSW. In El Paso I am the Residence Manager for the YMCA Residence. I got married in 1988 and have 4 kids. Famil life is busy.

Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:

WOW...what a camp out! I have very positive memories of my experience and feel lucky to have been there.

I'm Andy Bell, lived in Carhuaz August 1970-March 1972. If you're the guy I'm thinking of, we didn't meet in the Callejon de Huaylas but hung out some in Lima. Red hair, about 6' 1".
