Hello,
I am curious to know how volunteers called from Bangladesh to the US. What is the best option for telephone calls? Calling cards, collect calls, not calling, etc? My partner is working in Dhaka for several months and is looking for the least expensive but still decent quality way to call the US? When I served in Mali, I often called the US for 2 minutes just so that my mother would know that it was me and then she would call me back. Thanks for your suggestions.

Not sure if this is coming too late, but it is possible to buy an international calling card in Dhaka. It's less than $10 US for about 90 minutes and the connection is halfway decent, depending on the time of day.
Cheers...
