We are currently sending a container to Sierra Leone with books, computers and a food grinder.
Our primary task is to link individuals, Global Partners, with a Partner in that country. Our first Partner there is in Bonthe but we are also dispatching equipment to the Tech College in Freetown.
We do not have projects of our own but emphasise the importance of person to person contacts. When we have STABLISHED A LINK, THEN WE LIKE SOMEONE TO GO AND TO GET TO KNOW THE PEOPLE ON THE GROUND AND DISCOVER WHAT THEIR NEEDS ARE.
Our needs here in the US are, as always, for money ($3500 for this shipment, and more particularly for the next volunteer Global Partner to go to Sierra Leone or to any of our other Global Partners in Cameronn, Ghana, Benin or Zambia.

YOU DID A GREAT JOB. I HAVE VISITED MANY SIMILAR SITES AND THIS IS MY FIRST TO YOUR SITE. I AM VERY HAPPY TO COME ACROSS SO MANY SITES ABOUT OUR BELOVED SA. LONE. I CAME ACROSS QUITE A FEW PEACE CORPS WHILST WORKING AT THE FAO RICE PROJECT IN MAKENI AND LATER WORKED WITH THE FORMER PEACE CORPS DIRECTOR, THE LATE MR SAIDU TURAY AT THE AGRIC. OFFICE, YOUYI BUILDING.

ARE THERE ANY FUTURE PLANS FOR THE PEACE CORPS IN THE NEW SIERRA LEONE?
