Country of Service: Kazakstan

Training Group: Kaz 8

Cities you served in: Kzylorda

Arrival Year: 2000

Departure Year: 2001

Work Description:

I served as an English teacher at the school, Parasat, teaching English to 4th - 7th grade.

Bring us up to date on your life after the peace corps:

I left peace corps a year early and was married in 2002 to Aaron Leventhal. I worked for the past 3 years for an international adoption agency placing children from Russia and Kazakstan. We just had a baby girl, Ari Simone Leventhal, on November 28, 2004. I am currently home raising my daughter.

Any thoughts you have now looking back on peace corps days?:

I can't believe its all so long ago. It seems just like yesterday I was on a train from site to Almaty to visit other volunteers. I love remembering this experience and still keep in touch with a few people there.

Anyone you are looking for or would like to hear from?:

Yes, I would like to hear from Jenny Lyons and Gwyneth and actually anyone from Kaz 8. I think I remember everyone.

Dear Christine,
my congratulations, though it's late, I was just surfing around and find out some good news about you and news in your life, about your daughter!
